There is a special atmosphere in the air at Golden Oaks – difficult to describe, it must be experienced to immerse yourself in its natural magic. As you look around and gradually feel the effect of this place, you may notice that all beings in this environment seem to form a finely woven web that leads you step by step into a different state of consciousness – towards greater presence and inner peace, far away from the noise of modern life. The village invites you, as it once did with the Sioux, to reconnect with nature, with yourself, and with all other living beings.
WHAT TO EXPECT
This is about nature and people. Golden Oaks was created as a meeting place. Our goal is to create an environment that promotes the natural symbiosis between animals, humans, and nature. Living in a teepee tent means rediscovering the beauty of simple things: listening to the wind in the trees, admiring the starry sky, and waking up to the sound of birds singing.
THE LITTLE OAK FOREST GROVE
Amidst the rolling hills lies the enchanting oak forest grove, where majestic oak trees grow on a gentle south-facing slope. The dense foliage of the trees not only provides shade but also creates a calm and peaceful atmosphere. A light breeze blows through the branches, providing refreshing coolness even on the hottest days. Here you can relax and enjoy nature to the fullest. Comfortable hammocks are hung throughout the grove, inviting you to lie back and take a well-deserved break. Whether with a good book in your hand or just to relax, this place is the perfect retreat to leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life behind and experience the beauty of nature.
THE TEEPEES
The teepees: The unique teepees, which are set up with a diameter of 5 to 6 meters, offer you everything you need for a comfortable stay. Each teepee is lovingly furnished with cozy wooden beds equipped with comfortable mattresses, as well as soft blankets and pillows that ensure a restful night's sleep. There is also plenty of storage space for your personal belongings, so you can concentrate on what's important: relaxation and recreation. The special atmosphere of the teepees, combined with the rustic charm of the wood, creates a unique retreat that promises both cosiness and adventure.
THE BATHS
The sanitary facilities, which are made entirely of high-quality wood, exude a bright, inviting, and cozy atmosphere. Here you will find everything you need for your personal hygiene. The warm showers invite you to relax and freshen up after a long day in nature. The clean toilets ensure a pleasant experience, while the small laundry room with washing machine and dryer allows you to conveniently do your laundry. These well-designed facilities help you feel completely at home during your stay and enjoy the comforts of modern life in the midst of nature.
THE KITCHEN
For three generations, our family has been dedicated to health through nutrition—simple, authentic, and closely connected to nature. Our cuisine shows that healthy eating does not have to be boring or tasteless. The principles are clear: no industrial, refined, or highly processed foods. Vegetarian since the beginning, our dishes are based on fresh, wholesome, and, as far as possible, regional ingredients. We grind our own flour, bake our own bread, and serve nutrient-rich meals in buffet form – enjoyed together in a relaxed atmosphere.
As already mentioned, everything here seems to be designed to help you connect more consciously with your own feelings and your surroundings. People come to Golden Oaks to get in touch with themselves—and to get to know horses.
